Laurentian
The Laurentian model was completed as a refined bungalow design that emphasized architectural presence, efficient single-level living, and long-term flexibility. Situated on an oversized corner lot, the home was carefully positioned to maximize natural light, street presence, and functional outdoor space, while maintaining a strong connection to the surrounding neighbourhood.
Architecturally, the home presented a balanced and timeless exterior, combining varied rooflines, stone veneer accents, and complementary siding materials to create visual depth and curb appeal. The attached two-car garage was integrated seamlessly into the overall massing of the home, reinforcing a cohesive façade rather than a garage-forward appearance. Covered porch and rear deck elements extended the livable footprint outdoors while reinforcing the bungalow’s horizontal proportions.
Inside, the floor plan was organized around a bright, open-concept central living space that connected the kitchen, dining area, and great room. A vaulted ceiling over the living room became a defining architectural feature, introducing vertical volume and a sense of openness that elevated the main entertaining area well beyond typical bungalow proportions. Large window groupings were strategically placed to draw in natural light and maintain strong visual connections to the lot.
The kitchen was designed as a functional anchor within the home, positioned to serve both daily living and entertaining with clear sightlines to the dining and living areas. The layout allowed for generous cabinetry, island seating, and future customization, reflecting North Peak Homes’ approach to adaptable design rather than fixed, one-size-fits-all solutions.
The bedroom layout prioritized privacy and comfort. The primary suite was separated from the secondary bedrooms and featured a spacious walk-in closet and a well-appointed ensuite bathroom, creating a true retreat within the home. Two additional bedrooms were positioned to share convenient access to a full main bath, making the plan equally suitable for families, guests, or home office configurations.
Practicality was further enhanced through a main-floor laundry room located off the garage entry, reinforcing efficient daily circulation. Storage was thoughtfully integrated throughout the plan, including walk-in closets and defined service spaces that reduced clutter in primary living areas.
The basement was constructed with future development in mind. A full bathroom rough-in and an open, structurally efficient layout provided flexibility for additional bedrooms, recreation space, or extended family living. Mechanical systems and structural elements were positioned to minimize interference with future finishing, reflecting foresight in both design and construction.
Overall, the Laurentian model demonstrated North Peak Homes’ ability to deliver a bungalow that balanced architectural character with functional planning. The completed home stood as a strong example of how thoughtful ceiling design, proportioned layouts, and adaptable spaces can come together to create a custom residence that feels both refined and highly livable—while remaining flexible to the unique preferences of each homeowner.
